Saddleback's Thompson Named MVP while Breig and Ground Share Coach of the Year Honors

Saddleback's Eric Thompson has been selected as the 2014 Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year after leading the Gauchos to a share of the conference title. Thompson, a sophomore out of Clawson High School in Clawson, Michigan, averaged 13 points a game and led the conference in rebounds per game (8.7) and field goal percentage (67.9%). 

The Don's head coach Dave Breig and the Gaucho's head coach Andy Ground were both selected as the co-conference coaches of the year after sharing the conference title.
