MEN'S BASKETBALL: STAYING THE COURSE

The 9th in state Hornets hosted Riverside City College on Friday night completing the season sweep over the Tigers 72-50.

In the first three minutes of the game, Fullerton went on a 12-0 run establishing a healthy lead and never looked back. By the end of the half, the Hornets held a 40-22 lead.

FC maintained their lead in the second half with solid defense that kept the Tigers at bay forcing 20 turnovers (27 point scored from).

Blake McBride went off scoring a game-high 21 points for Fullerton. Kenny Barnes locked down a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Julian Richardson dropped in 13 points while Ian Fox and Isaiah Clark both scored 8 points. Fox also had 4 of the 6 Hornet steals on the night.

The conference win helps FC keep up in the tight Orange Empire race at 7-1 with their overall record improving to 19-5. The RCC loss gives them an OEC record of 3-6 and an overall record of 11-14.
