WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: SWEEP OVER DONS

The Hornets won in straight sets in an Orange Empire Conference match-up at Santa Ana College on Tuesday night (25-21, 25-19 and 25-15).

Fullerton (13-7, 8-4) opened the first set with an early 8-1 lead before the Dons (1-18, 0-12) slowly chipped away at the lead and getting as close as three points at 21-18. 

In the second set, the Dons kept the score close from the start as they quickly turned a 3-0 deficit into a 4-4 tie. The Hornets reclaimed the lead at 5-4, the Dons got back-to-back kills by Anderson to take their first lead at 6-5. After letting the Dons pull with win two (14-12, the Hornets went on a 4-0 run to take an 18-12 lead and eventually the game.

The third set opened with the Dons taking an early 6-1 lead, but FC battled back with a 14-0 run to take control of the set completing the sweep.

Up Next: The Hornets (8-4 - 3rd place OEC) will host Saddleback College (2-10  -7th place OEC) this Friday, November 13th in the South Gym @ 6:00 pm.
