The Lady Hornets opened up the 37th annual Colleen Riley Holiday Tournament with a big 91-55 win against San Diego Mesa on Sunday.
The Olympians grabbed an early 5-0 lead, and then the Hornets woke up taking a 6-5 lead with 7:56 left in the first quarter. From there, FC went on an 11-4 run and never let go of the lead.
Fullerton freshman Monica Hana put on a clinic posting 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 steals for her best effort thus far in the season. Guard Emilee Dy contributed 14 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals. Guards Nancy De La Cruz and Melissa Madrigal both scored 7 points. Jasmine Young was solid on the boards with 7 in the game.
