The Hornets were impressive at the Santa Barbara Crossover Tournament over the weekend winning their first two games of the season.
In game one on Friday, Fullerton beat Moorpark College 49-38.
On Saturday the Hornets knocked off the tournament host Santa Barbara City 53-46.
SBCC jumped ahead 4-0 to start the game, and then Fullerton went on a 14-3 run taking control of the first half. FC led 29-26 at intermission.
The Vaqueros got within 48-44 with four minutes to play but Fullerton scored a basket and then hit a three-pointer to stretch the lead to nine, 53-44, which shut down any momentum that the Vaqueros might have had. The FC defense held true allowing the Hornets to win their first tourney and begin the season undefeated.
