The #6 Hornets fell at #3 Cypress College on Friday in a hard- fought match in the 2nd Round of the SoCal Regional Playoffs 3‐2 (18‐25, 25‐21, 23‐25, 25‐18, 15‐9).
It was the third time this season that FC lost to their Orange Empire Conference rival Chargers, who rallied from 1‐0 and 2‐1 game deficits.
All‐ Region OH/setter Alex Winfield dished out 33 assists and had five kills. OH Briana Cervantes scored a double‐double with 14 kills and 19 digs and MB Kelsey Smith totaled 11 kills and four blocks. Libero Alexa Fairfield had 18 digs.
Fullerton finished another successful season with a record of 16‐7 making the playoffs for the seven out of the last nine seasons.
