BASEBALL: COMPLETE GAME ON ST. PATRICK'S DAY

The FC baseball team hosted conference rival Irvine Valley College on Tuesday and were victorious over the Lasers 5-1. Pitcher Dylan Prohoroff (6-1) threw a complete game helping the Hornets to a 16-5 overall record.

Fullerton currently sits alone in first place in the Orange Empire Conference at 6-2, while Irvine Valley falls back to 12-9 overall and 4-4 in the OEC.

FC scored the game's first run in the first inning on Oscar Heredia's hard-hit singe up the middle scoring Justin Row.

IVC tied it up a one a piece in the second inning when Adam Vargas hit s shot to center field that scored Lucas Tancas.

The Hornets dropped two runs on the Lasers in the fifth on a double to left field by Julio Rivera that scored Justin Row and Heredia reach to first on a fielding error allowed Rivera to score

FC added two more security-runs in the seventh when Marco Rivera doubled to right center field that scored Laine Huffman scored and Heredia hit a single to center field scoring Rivera.

Prohoroff had a stellar day throwing 9 complete innings allowing only 5 runs, 1 run, 2 walks, and 7 strikeouts. 

Up Next: The Hornets will travel to Irvine Valley this Thursday, March 19th to wrap up their three game season series. The last time FC played at IVC back on February 26th, they won 2-0. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
