Norco, Calif. -- The Chargers are now 4-3-2 after a 2-0 victory on the road against fellow Orange Empire Conference member Norco.
Kimberly Gonzalez got the Chargers on the board in the 27th minute with a goal that was assisted by Thania Valencia.
In the first half the Chargers had an impressive 19 shots compared to zero for the Mustangs.
The score at the half was 1-0 Cypress.
In the second half, Lindsey Righettini scored the second and final goal of the afternoon for the Chargers on an assist by Patricia Martinez.
The Chargers are now ranked #3 in the conference standings behind #2 Irvine Valley and #1 Santiago Canyon. Cypress will be back in action at home against Santa Ana on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 3pm on Ray Haas Field.
