WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: OVER THE TOP

Fullerton came out firing against the number one team in the Orange Empire Conference last Friday beating Irvine Valley College at home 3-2: 28-26, 18-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9.

It was a group effort that helped the Hornets garner the win with Alex Winfield (14 kills and 25 assists), Grace Lopez (13 kills), Azucena Duarte (13 kills), Carly Bergen (35 assists and 13 digs), Mikki Sale (15 digs), and Shawnee Longmeyer (11 kills) all contributing.

The win keeps the Hornets in strong contention for a playoff spot and lands them in third place in the Orange Empire Conference. They are currently two games out of first place IVC (9-2) still holding on to the number one spot. FC district rival Cypress (8-3) sits in second place with Golden West College (7-4) breathing down the Hornet's neck in fourth place.

Up Next: FC (12-7, 7-4) will hit the road against Santa Ana College this Wednesday, November 10th @ 7:00 pm.
