SOFTBALL: MERCY-RULING THE MARAUDERS

In a non-conference game, the Lady Hornets took on visiting Antelope Valley and out-scored the Marauders 11-0.

Fullerton did not waste any time scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning. With two outs on the board, Sarah Rengifo dropped a single into center scoring Danielle Ramirez scored. Celeste Borza came around to score taking advantage of an errant throw from center to home. Haylee Enriquez popped base hit through the left side plating Rengifo and Miranda Rooney.

FC scored a run in the 2nd and 3rd innings to go up 6-0. Ramirez hammered a double to right center scoring Madison Ferguson, and then Clarissa Hernandez cranked a hard-hit single up the middle of the field scoring Rooney.

The Hornets broke the game open in the 5th inning dropping 5 runs. Borza's single to left field brought Ferguson home, Rengifo's double to left field with the bases loaded brought in Hunter Williams, Alondra Natera, and Khloe Lilavois, and Enriquez hit a deep SAC fly to right field allowing Rengifo the chance to come home.

Haylee Enriques locked down her second win of the season going 2 innings. She allowed only a hit and a walk. Jessica Lopez tossed 2 innings and had 3 K's, 1 hit against, and no walks. Nicole Gonzalez threw 1 inning with no hits, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout. 

Up Next: Fullerton (4-3 overall) will host Cypress College for an Orange Empire Conference showdown on Wednesday, February, 19th at 2:30 pm.
