SBVC Women’s Volleyball has a hard time with the Tigers, 3-0

SBVC (3-9) put together a solid first set, struggled in the second set and played a back-and-forth final set, but in the end the #25 Riverside City Tigers (7-1) took the match in three, 25-16; 25-6; 25-17.

Freshman libero Valerie Navarrete (Fontana A.B. Miller) collected 10 digs and 5 assists and freshman outside hitter Roslynn Hamilton (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) had 4 kills and 3 digs.

Freshman middle blocker Ariana Cole (Fontana Azariel Blanchard Miller) led the team with 5 kills and a service ace and sophomore middle blocker Yamiq Myles (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) had 4 kills and 6 digs.

Freshman setter Nayeli Hernandez (San Bernardino Aquinas) led the team with 10 assists, 2 service aces and 5 digs and freshman outside hitter Stephanie Gilbert (Moreno Valley Vista Del Lago) had 4 kills.

The next game for SBVC will be at home vs. SBVC Alumni on Friday, October 2 at 5 p.m.
