BASEBALL: SNATCHING A WIN IN THE 11TH

Down 6-5 heading into the 9th inning on Saturday, the Hornets managed to tie the game up and then pull off a 7-6 road-win in the eleventh.

Riverside (9-9, 3-2 OEC) was victimized by a familiar face as former Tiger and current FC sophomore RF KC Huth drove in the go-ahead run in the 11th to give the Hornets the 7-6 lead and the win. Huth went three for four on the day with two doubles and three RBI.

Fullerton was led by CF Dakota Wix, batting in the lead-off spot, went four for six with three runs and one RBI.

FC starting pitcher Josh Bornstein (1-2) went 5.2 innings with 6K's, 3 hits against, and 4 earned runs. RP Austin Sweet (2-1, 2 Saves) threw two innings with 1 hit against and 2 strikeouts for his second win on the season. RP Nate Green went an inning with no hits against to lock down his first save.

Up Next: The Hornets (13-5, 3-2) will take on Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, March 11th. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
