MEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS REBOUND BIG OVER CYPRESS

The Hornets locked down their first win in October with a big 5-0 win over Cypress after suffering two of losses along with a couple of tie games.

The win gives Fullerton a healthy overall record of 9-4-3 and lands them at 5-3-1 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Cypress loss bumps them to 4-9-2 overall and 1-5-2 in the OEC.

FC got the board in the 30th minute on a place kick by Eduin Munguia and quickly struck again in the 33rd minute in a shot by Andre Prado.

In the second half, FC scored in the 48th minute on a goal by Anthony Garcia (assist Jacob Aldana), and then scored again two minutes later on an unassisted shot by Alejandro Ramirez (asssist Brayan Herrera). 

Fullerton closed out the game with one last goal in the final minute by Rene Santillan (assist Issac Sierra).

Up Next: The Hornets (9-4-3 overall, 5-3-1 OEC) will hit the road this Friday, October 21st to play Irvine Valley College for an OEC showdown. The last time the two teams met, Fullerton fell in a close one 3-2. IVC currently sits in second place in the OEC and FC in 4th.
