WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: TIGERS JUST OUT OF REACH

The FC women's basketball team nearly upset Riverside City College on the road Wednesday, but the Tiger's late push held off the Hornets 70-65.

The loss lands FC at 9-11 overall and 1-3 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the RCC win gives them an overall record of 15-6 and an OEC record of 2-2.

Fullerton was up on Riverside 60-55 with 6:04 remaining in the game, but the Tigers went in a torrid 15-5 run to take the game away from the Hornets. The Tigers made four free throws on eight attempts in the last 51 seconds to ice the game.

Fullerton sophomore Monica Hanna had big night with a team-high 21 points and 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double on the season. Freshman Tristian Johns was next with 19 points and 6 rebounds. She led the Hornets with 5 assists.

Up Next: The Hornets (9-11, 1-3) will host Orange Coast College this Friday, January 20th at 5:00 pm. Fullerton College Basketball and Khloe Kares are proud to announce their alliance in asking you to please help our local homeless women by bringing new toiletries to the game.
