WOMEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS TAKE SECOND IN CONFERENCE

The FC women's soccer squad played to a 1-1 tie at Golden West on Friday and finished the regular season in second place in the Orange Empire Conference.

It was another successful regular season for Fullerton as they broke the program record for most wins in a season at 12. They also broke the school record for most shutouts in a season with 9. The previous record was set last year at 8.

The Hornets gave up an early goal to the Rustlers within the first two minutes of the game.

Fullerton knocked in the game-tying goal in the 43rd minute on a shot by Kaylee Medina. The assist came from Brianna Remedios.

FC goalies Savannah Dyer (30 minutes) had 2 saves and Kayla Ippolitio had 3 saves (60 minutes).

Up Next: The No. 11 seeded Hornets (12-4-4 overall, 9-3-4 OEC) will play at No. 6 Santa Monica College in round one of the Southern California Regionals this Saturday, November 17th at 4:00 pm.
