WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: TOURNEY RUNNER-UPS

The Lady Hornets were runner-ups at the L.A. Valley College Tournament this past weekend.

On Friday, Fullerton got off to a good start beating San Bernardino Valley 64-49.

They followed that up with another win over Ventura 57-50 on Saturday.

At the tournament's title game on Sunday, FC took on a familiar foe in Cypress College and lost their second game on the season 67-57. As a team, Fullerton shot only 31.5% from the floor to the Charger's 35.8. Noelle Cobb led all scorers with a game-high 18 points, with 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Kelli Calton scored 12 points, had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Michelle Okorioke put up 10 points and added 6 rebounds with 2 steals.

Both of the Fullerton's losses this season were at the hands of Orange Empire Conference opponents with the first loss coming from Irvine Valley.
