GAME THREE FC CLASSIC: HORNETS WIN BIG OVER JAGS

GAME THREE FC CLASSIC: HORNETS WIN BIG OVER JAGS

In the third and final day of the 37th FC Classic, the No. 3 Hornets won big Saturday night beating Southwestern College 101-57.

It was a good win for the Hornets (8-3 overall), who needed to get back on the horse and ride after stumbling last night against a tough San Diego City squad. Earlier today, West LA, a team that FC edged 73-72 on Nov. 21st, lost to the Wildcats 70-67. With the loss, Southwestern now falls to 5-6 overall.

Fullerton wasted no time in this contest taking a 10-0 lead in the first three minutes that was highlighted by a layup by Jaden Byers. A deep shot from beyond the arch by Godfrey Little bumped FC up to a 19-point advantage with 10 minutes left in the first half. By the time both teams headed to their respective locker-rooms for halftime, the Hornets held a hefty 51-22 lead hitting 7 of 10 three-pointers and shooting 63% overall.

The Hornets kept the fire lit in the second half increasing their lead to 39 points by 13:45. With the game well at hand, Fullerton kept the pressure on taking its biggest lead of 44 with just 10 second left in the game.

Godfrey came off the bench with a hot hand leading all scorers with 19 points (5 for 9 three-pointers). He also added 3 assists. Shawn Woodson scored 16 points with 5 rebounds, while Christian Watson dropped in 15 with 3 rebounds and 3 blocks. Addy G'Bye put up 13 points and Jaden Byers had 10.

Up Next: The No. 3 Hornets (8-3 overall) travel to East LA College on Thursday, December 14th for a non-conference game against the Huskies. Tipoff is at 6:00 pm.
