Women's Water Polo Finishes 1-3 at Chaffey Tournament
The women's water polo team (2-7) wrapped up the Chaffey Tournament with a 1-3 record after a hard fought weekend in the pool.

Casey Burke led the team with 10 goals and 13 steals, while Emily Yates had six goals over the span of the tournament. Taylor Leach had a team-high 15 steals and Aimee Espey won all but two sprints for the Chargers. In the goal, Becca Stephenson led the way with 35 saves in the tournament. Her play in game two versus East LA was pivotal in helping Cypress to victory.

The Chargers opened up the tournament with a match against host team Chaffey. The two teams were tied at the halftime break, but Chaffey pulled away in the third quarter and went on to win game one, 9-5. Game two saw the Chargers notch their second victory of the season as the team defeated East LA 9-6. In game three against Ventura, Cypress had many opportunities on goal, but the shots just wouldn't go in the net as the team fell 7-4. In the final game against Cerritos, Cypress led 4-2 at the halftime break, but a 5-0 run by the opponent would usher them to victory.

The team is back in action on Wednesday as they hit the road to face Saddleback at 3:00 pm. They then head to the Mt. SAC Tournament  on Friday and Saturday.
