CYPRESS, Calif. --- Cypress College Women's Volleyball began its 2013-14 season last night against Glendale Community College.  The Chargers jumped out to a quick lead in the first set and never looked back, defeating the Vaquero's in set #1, (25-13).  Ivana Escobedo stood out in the first set for Cypress, recording five kills, two digs and two solo blocks for the Chargers.  

Ani Green added four kills, two blocks, two digs and one assist in the second set to help lead the Chargers over Glendale (25-18).

In the closing set, Damilia Foster added three kills to her six kill total for the night. Foster also compiled five blocks in the match, (four solo). 

The Chargers beat The Vaquero's in the third set (25-15), to cap off the night. 

Other notable statistics were Kiki Atuatasi's seven kills overall, and Allyson Dekruyf's three aces in the final set of the night.

Cypress competes again on Friday vs. Victor Valley at 2:00 PM.
