SOFTBALL: TOO MANY STRANDED

The Lady Hornet softball team hosted LA Mission College in a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon and lost a tough one 3-1.

The game was scoreless until the top of the third when the Eagles did all the damage they needed dropping three runs on the Hornets. FC could only counter with one run in the fifth on a single by pinch hitter Miranda Hernandez that brought pitcher Brigid Ruiz home.

Fullerton left 8 runners stranded as they out-hit Mission 6-5.

Ruiz threw all seven innings giving up 3 earned runs on 5 hits. She had 9 K's on the day.

Hornet Hitters: Desiree Lopez (2-4), Hernandez (1-1), catcher Anissa Loera (1-4, double), DP Erin Molina (1-2), and LF Tiffany Centino (1-3).

Up Next: The Hornets (7-7, 2-1) will host Cypress College in an OEC match-up this Friday, March 4th. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
