Ritter nets season-high four goals in 10th straight win

SBCC posted two more wins on Saturday in the Mt. SAC Classic women's water polo tourney, extending the best start in school history to 10-0. The Vaqueros went 4-0 in the two-day, round robin event in Walnut.

Ivanna Bilaver scored three goals in an 11-7 win over Grossmont and Gabrielle Ritter had a season-high four goals in a 19-9 victory over Fullerton. The 19 goals ties the season best for the Vaqueros, who are averaging 13.8 per game.

Halie Johnson also had four goals vs. Fullerton (7-2) and leads the team with 33 goals. Nicole Cosares had three goals and Addison Seale dished out four assists for the Vaqueros, who led 9-1 early in the second quarter and 13-4 at the half.

In the morning game against Grossmont, SBCC jumped ahead 7-0 and enjoyed an 8-2 halftime advantage. Kendra Carr had three assists and goalie Mackenzie Richards collected five saves, four steals and one assist.

The Vaqueros will play four games in the Rabobank Tournament at Cuesta, starting with a key WSC game vs. Cuesta on Friday at 11:10 a.m.
