W. BEACH VOLLEYBALL: HORNETS SWEEP DONS

In their first home game in the inaugural season, the Hornets put it all together on Wednesday sweeping Santa Ana College 5-0.

It felt like a summer day as the sky was blue and the temperature sat in the 90's out on the Hornet sand courts. Music played and the Hornets even had a healthy cheering section courtesy of the FC football team.

Results

Pair 1 - FC Alanna Hayhurst and Briana Cervantes defeated Santa Ana's Anderson and Woodcock 21-9 and 21-14.

Pair 2 - FC Mariah Gonzalez and Alex Winfield defeated Santa Ana's Kunipo and Nguyen 21-17 and 21-10.

Pair 3 - FC Kristen Santos and Alyss Chacon defeated Santa Ana's Alejandro and Mendoza 21-9 and 21-10.

Pair 4 - FC Elena Mendrin and Mallory Koci defeated Santa Ana's Arroyo and Mosicijo 21-10, and 21-9.

Pair 5 - FC Larreya Hayden and Chelsie Velasquez defeated Santa Ana's Logan and Johnson 16-21, 21-10, and 15-11.

Up Next: Fullerton (3-6 overall, 2-1 conference) will play this Friday, March 27th against Gavilan College, Mt. San Jacinto College, and Concordia University at Huntington State Beach beginning at 10:00 am.
