BASEBALL: THREE IN A ROW

The FC baseball squad made it three in a row on Tuesday with a 4-3 victory over visiting Bakersfield College.

It was a no-run pitchers' duel through four innings until Fullerton broke it up in the bottom of the 5th scoring two runs on seperate errors that scored 1B Riley Roberts and RF Shane Carrier.

The Renegades struck back in the 6th putting up three runs to take the lead when Zach Tanner singled to right field and Josh Stone scored. Then Kaidan Meadows hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Jacob Herrera. Eddie Torres hit a blooper to center field for a base hit allowing Kyle James to come home.

FC took the lead for good in the 6th inning when Roberts came up big knocking a single to left center scoring Anthony Seminaris and catcher Julio Rivera.

The Hornets starting pitcher Dylan Prohoroff took the no decision going 5.2 solid innings with 3 earned runs, 8 strikeouts, and 3 walks. RP Nico Castaneda grabbed the win throwing 2.1 innings with 1 hit and 1 strikeout. Closer Randall Ortiz earned Fullerton's first save on the season allowing 1 hit and a strikeout on an inning of work.

Up Next: The Hornets (3-0) will travel to Grossmont College this Thursday, February 5th to take on the Griffins at 2:00 pm.
