Hansen Delivers Again

GLENDALE, Calif. --- Cypress held off Glendale on Friday night and eventually defeated the Vaqueros by a score of 2-1.

The victory gives Cypress a quick 2-0 start on the season after defeating Cuyamaca on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 2-0.

Braydon Welch protected the goal once again last night for the entire 90 minute contest.  Welch recorded six saves in the victory and now has 13 saves in his first two games as a Charger.

Aaren Lewis put the Chargers on the scoreboard first and eventually assisted sophomore forward Shawn Hansen for the second Cypress goal of the night.  Hansen now has goals in back to back games and has picked up exactly where he left off last season in 2013.

The Chargers will prepare for their first home game of the season on Tuesday, September 2, vs. Victor Valley.

The game at Cypress College is set to begin at 4:00 pm.
