WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: FADED DOWN THE STRETCH

After winning big in Colleen Riley Holiday opener, the Lady Hornets went on to drop the next two games in the tournament.

In the semi-final game against Long Beach City College on Monday, Fullerton was hit hard by the Vikings 73-46. LBCC took control of the game from the start going on a 15-5 run in the first quarter and kept a strangle-hold on the lead until the game's end. FC shot 36.5% to the Viking's 46.8%

On Tuesday, the Hornets played in the Third Place game against Cerritos College (12-5) and fell 60-43. FC had only 11 points in the first half shooting 15.4% from the floor. For the game, Fullerton shot 24.5% to the Falcon's 29.7%.

The Hornets totaled 91 points in the tournament's first game with a convincing win against San Diego Mesa (2-7) on Sunday, however they could only muster 89 points between the last two games (44.5 points per game).

Mount San Antonio College (16-1) went on to win the 37th Annual Colleen Riley Holiday Tournament with a 67-59 victory over Long Beach City College (12-2).
