The Lady Hornets hosted Rio Hondo College in a non-conference game on Tuesday and got past the Road Runners 6-4.
The win gives Fullerton overall record of 9-8, while the Rio Hondo loss lands them at 6-16.
Hornet pitcher Brigid Ruiz (9-6) was on point earning her 9th win tossing 4 innings with only 1 hit against, 4 K's, and no walks. Ruiz also added to hits with 2 runs. Alexandria Pintado had a hit, run, with 2 RBI, and Miranda Hernandez had a hit with 1 RBI.
Rio Hondo's Brenae Martinez (5-15) took the loss for the Road Runners going 6 innings with 1 earned run against on 5 hits. The Road Runners had 5 errors on the day.
