Both the men and women's tennis teams were awarded the Region 1 JUCO Community Service Award by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association last week.

The community service award is based on what the Hornets do as a team for the local community. This year, the FC tennis teams organized weekly campus and local community clean-ups as well as working with visiting kindergartners in a yearly program called KinderCaminata.

"We are proud to recognize the hard work on and off the court from our deserving student athletes", ITA.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is an organization of tennis coaches and players at the college level in the United States. The membership includes people from NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA and Junior/Community College schools.
